Queen of Spades as a Birth Card

People of this card are composed, clever and hard-working. They have strong characters and high standards for themselves. They know how to work toward results and bring things to perfection.

The Queen of Spades' main task is to aim that strength at service and wisdom. When she is master of herself, she becomes an example for others.

• Self-mastery. You govern your emotions and keep your head.
• Skill. You take your work to a high level.
• Wisdom. You understand people and life more deeply than most.
• Strength of character. It is hard to knock you off your chosen path.

High standards can become merciless, toward yourself and others. The person forgives no weakness and wears out from constant tension.

Strength of character sometimes turns into a need to dominate. The Queen of Spades' mastery also shows in letting others go their own way.

You are a strong, dependable partner others can rely on. You need someone who respects your independence and is strong themselves.

Allow yourself softness. With someone you love, you don't always have to keep yourself in check.

The Queen of Spades fits work that calls for skill and self-discipline: leadership, medicine, science, law, teaching, art at a high level, spiritual practice.

Her success is built on mastery honed over years.

The Queen of Spades is the second-to-last card of the deck, the second court card of the deepest suit. Her only day, January 2, stands at the very start of the year, right after the King of Spades.
