Privacy Policy
The administration of the Astralika website ("we") respects your privacy. This page explains what data astralika.com receives when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.
What We Don't Collect
A reading needs no sign-up, name, phone number or email. The site doesn't ask for them and doesn't store them. The questions you put to the cards stay with you: the site never receives them.
What the Site Receives
Analytics services. We use Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics to understand which readings and pages visitors find interesting, and to improve the site. These services set cookies in your browser and receive technical data about the visit: IP address, device and browser type, language, approximate location based on IP, the pages you opened, where you came from and how long you stayed. Session recording (Webvisor) is turned off. The data is processed in aggregate: we see statistics, not individual people.
The site's own counters. To count how many times a reading is completed and to prevent inflated likes, the site keeps a one-way encrypted token (a hash) derived from the IP address, the reading and the date. The IP address itself is not stored, and the tokens are deleted the next day. Like and completion counts are stored without being linked to anyone.
Server log. Like any web server, ours records the IP address, time and address of each request in a technical log. The log is used to protect against attacks and fix errors, and is kept for a limited time.
Your browser's storage. The site saves in your browser (localStorage) which readings you have marked with a heart, your results in the "Guess the Card Meaning" game, and that you have already seen the cookie notice. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Who the Data Is Shared With
- Yandex LLC (Russia): the Yandex Metrica service.
- Google LLC (USA): the Google Analytics service.
We do not share or sell data to anyone else.
Legal Basis and Consent
By continuing to use the site after the cookie notice, you consent to the processing of the data described above for web analytics. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling cookies in your browser settings or by writing to us.
How to Opt Out of Cookies
- Delete cookies and block them for astralika.com in your browser settings.
- Use private (incognito) mode: cookies are deleted when you close the window.
- Yandex Metrica can be disabled with Yandex's opt-out tool, Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
The site keeps working without cookies.
Your Rights
You can ask what data about you is processed, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent. Since we don't know who you are and only see anonymised statistics, in most cases the data cannot be matched to a particular person.
