Eight of Spades as a Birth Card

People of this card can work more and longer than others without losing focus. They often have robust health and a huge reserve of energy. Obstacles don't frighten them; they spur them on.

The Eight of Spades' power needs direction. When it serves a good aim, these people achieve what seems impossible. Their path is learning to govern their power rather than press with it.

• Willpower. You carry your plans through.
• Stamina. You withstand long, heavy loads.
• Energy. You have enough strength for big undertakings.
• Determination. You don't back down in the face of difficulty.

Power can turn into stubbornness and a wish to control everything. The person presses on those around them and won't accept objections.

The Eight of Spades also tends to overwork, relying on its stamina. Even the strongest card needs rest.

You are a strong, dependable partner beside whom others feel safe. You are ready to protect and provide for those close to you.

Learn gentleness. Your partner needs your tenderness as well as your strength.

The Eight of Spades is equal to heavy, responsible work: leadership, construction, medicine, sport, the military and security services, large projects, anything that needs strength and endurance.

It gets results where others retreat.

The Eight is the card of power in the deepest suit. Its three days fall at the very start of the year: January 6, February 4 and March 2.
